There’s something kind of special about our Saturday night CTF sessions.
Not in a dramatic way, just in that simple, “this feels good” way. Every week at 8 PM United Kingdom time, people show up, open the stream, say hello in the chat, and we dive into whatever challenge is waiting for us that week.
And honestly, it never feels like a class or a lecture. It’s more like hanging out with people who enjoy the same weird puzzles you do. Sometimes we get stuck. Sometimes we find the flag faster than expected. Sometimes the chat saves us before we go down the wrong rabbit hole (which happens more often than I’d like to admit).
But that’s the charm of it.
There’s no pressure to be perfect.
No “you must know this first.”
No polished editing hiding the mistakes.
You get the real thing, the actual process. The hesitations, the small wins, the “wait, that didn’t work… why didn’t that work?” moments. If you’ve ever tried to learn cybersecurity alone, you know how much those unfiltered moments matter. They’re where you actually learn.
What surprises me most is how mixed the crowd is.
We see complete beginners who are just curious.
We see professionals who join just to unwind with a technical puzzle.
We see people who don’t talk much, but they’re there every week and you can feel their presence.
Little by little, the sessions became a habit, the good kind. The kind you look forward to because you know you’ll learn something without even trying too hard.
If you’ve never joined us, the door’s open. Bring your questions, your curiosity, or even just your quiet company. The stream is relaxed, friendly, and very real.
And don’t forget to hit the bell on our YouTube channel so the reminder actually pops up, otherwise Saturday will sneak past you before you know it.
